Meow Cat Cafe

Hello Free Spirits,
I had a job interview today and I was running a bit early so I decided to explore the area and kill some time at a cafe. As I was walking along Mount Pleasant Street, I spotted a cat cafe! I looked through the window and spotted a few cute faces. So I walked in. Best decision ever!

Don’t let the pee carpet stain fool you! This place was super clean and you would have no idea that about 10 cats live here.

So not only was the hazelnut latte I ordered delicious, I had so much fun. Coming here before the interview released all my nervousness. The cats were so friendly and beautiful and although most of them were sleeping there were a few that were having the time of their lives playing with the cat toys.

A few rules and procedure about the place.

  • As soon as you walk in you have to order a drink from the menu.
  • Before touching the cats you have to sanitize your hands.
  • You are not allowed to touch the baby kittens, as their immune systems are weak.
  • Be careful not to step on the cats.

I talked with the owner of the meow cafe and asked her were the cats come from. I know that some places take cats from shelters and they offer an adoption option. The lady explained that the cats are all hers and when she closes up for the night she takes the cats home with her. How cool is that?!

Here are some pics of the space.

They have a few tables and chairs where you can sit and relax over a drink with friends. There was more space in the back.
Here are some of the cats.

They all have names and brothers and sisters.

Here is my hazelnut latte that came in a cute cup with a closed lid(to prevent spills).

The cafe also sells cat toys, accessories and treats.

The 10 min I spent here before my interview were pleasurable. The cats they were super friendly and large drinks were good. I will be back for sure.

Hey! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it
